Welcome to GRRL! Weekly
the fastest newsletter in women’s sports

This week we’ve got a lot of podium stuff, we’ve got insane top speeds, we’ve got a 4th generation champion (more podiums), a down-to-the wire motorcycle championship, an OnlyFans success story, a father-daughter monster truck team, and a champion that is proving even more of a champion off the track than on.
Buckle up…
🏆 THE PODIUM:
The Queen of Speed announced her retirement to start a family, but only after obliterating her own world record Sept 1 for the third time this year with a casual 343.51 mph run at Indianapolis. FORCE owns nine of the ten fastest runs in Top Fuel history. At 39, she's making a career choice male drivers never have to consider, but exits her career tied with legend Shirley Muldowney at 18 career wins… and those 9 all-time records.
UNSER secured vice-champion honors in Porsche Sprint Challenge's Cayman Pro/Am class with back-to-back podiums at Road Atlanta - nine podiums in twelve races proving she's fast and clutch. Her Kellymoss team delivered an all-female 1-2 finish with teammate ERIKA HOFFMANN. We like to think of it as an all GRRL! weekend, but nonetheless it had everyone talking.

MARIA HERRERA and BEATRIZ NEILA split victories at Magny-Cours, setting up a championship showdown with just six points separating them heading to the final weekend of the championship in Jerez. With 50 points available and both Spanish riders in peak form, the WorldWCR finale will likely come down to the final corner, if not later.

🏁 IN THE POINTS:
P4: LILOU WADOUX - Delivered a masterclass in wet-weather driving for her second ELMS victory of 2025 at Silverstone, because apparently women can handle rain and 200mph just fine. LILOU takes the championship lead with 12-point advantage heading to the finale at Portimão.
P5: JAMIE CHADWICK - Claimed her third LMP2 victory while putting her IDEC Sport team back in championship contention with one round remaining. The three-time W Series champion continues crushing racing almost like racing is what she was meant to be doing. Having been the first woman to win an IndyNXT race in 14 years she’s made it clear she can do it all - and then some (see below).
P6: RENEE GRACIE - Powered by her OnlyFans success, GRACIE secured back-to-back GT World Challenge Australia titles with seven wins in ten races. Her unconventional funding approach proved that diversified income streams and pure speed make a winning combination.
P7: IRON DAMES - VANINA ICKX and MARTA GARCIA scored their first Le Mans Cup victory at Silverstone after overcoming multiple setbacks. The all-female Iron Dames win makes them the first team to claim victories across all ACO competition levels. Some women collect shoes, these two collect trophies (but we’re sure they’ve got nice shoes, too).
P8: LINDSAY BREWER - Earned Motorsport.com's Most Influential Female Racecar Driver, proving her smart brand building and audience engagement are essential skills for modern drivers chasing limited opportunities in today's sponsorship-dependent racing world.
P9: ATIQA MIR - The 10-year-old became the first female to win a UAE karting race in the Minimax category at Dubai Kartdrome. She also became the first Indian and Asian female signed to F1 Academy's "Discover Your Drive" development program. 10!
P10: GEORGINA DIXON - Joined the family monster truck business at 22 and is already out jumping her veteran father Tony. Young girls approach her saying "I want to do what you do!" proving representation matters in motorsports too.
🏅 HONORABLE MENTION:
Named the Jamie Chadwick Series (clever!), her program delivered a staggering 1,700% increase in girls participating in karting since launching two years ago. After winning the only 3 W Series events, being the first woman to win in IndyNXT in 14 years, winning her third LMP2 title (above), Jamie has long been at the top of the list for women that might crack F1.
While Jamie is still winning on the biggest stages, she’s also laser focused on getting a woman into F1 even if it’s not her. Her strategy: flood the field. Get so many girls into motorsports that the gifted racers can rise to the top.
Absolutely love Jamie’s ability to be at the top of the racing world and one of the best role models for GRRL!s around the world.
